Robert Smith - Co-Founder and Chairman:

Robert Smith has led multi-million dollar business development projects, both nationally and internationally. In the 1980s he pioneered the integration of RFID into a factory guidance/tracking system for Integrated Factory Controls, Inc. He is a former principal at the Electronic Commerce Resource Center in Washington State, a Department of Commerce-sponsored resource center for electronic commerce and supply chain business processes. In that capacity, he worked with the largest government contractors in the Pacific Northwest to bring their business processes into an electronic interchange. He is also the developer of several important electronic technology innovations, such as the front-end module integration for Swift, a banking exchange system in international use; the online security system for Visa electronic transactions; and the encryption technology for FedWire II, used by the Federal Reserve for fund transfers. He has developed 26 products (currently has 7 pending patents) and brings over 25 years of experience in electronic/Internet data exchange and security. Mr. Smith's extensive business credentials include significant management, marketing/sales and technical positions at Network Data Security, Integrated Factory Controls, Intersil Corporation, General Automation, Texas Instruments and General Electric. While at Texas Instruments, Mr. Smith was founding director of the Industrial Systems Business.  




David Shaw - President:

David has twenty-three years experience in introducing new products/services to emerging markets and working with early stage companies. These efforts include formulating strategy, preparing business plans and pro-forma financial statements, raising funds, sizing new markets, validating product offerings, and developing an early customer base through direct sales. These products/services ranged from the introduction of the Xerox Memorywriter to a $30 million high-rise office tower. David has negotiated complex multi-million dollar contracts, started three ventures, with two successful exits. David has been a speaker at multiple conferences on subjects related to supply chain and business process management risk mitigation, compliance and. In addition, Mr. Shaw has reviewed grant applications for the National Science Foundation, and mentored early-stage companies for both the World's Best Technology Showcase and the Development Capital Network. He has also invested acted as an Angel investor. David has two degrees from the University of Texas at Austin; a BBA in Finance from the McCombs School of Business and an M.S. in Technology Commercialization from the internationally renowned IC² Institute. David was awarded the Dr. George Kozmetsky award for academic excellence from IC² and won the Xerox President's Club every year he was eligible.
